From Song to Story
Plastic Mannequin Love is a children’s picture book adapted directly from the lyrics of Tay Kewei’s song of the same name. Each line of the song comes to life through vivid illustrations, transforming the music into a story that children and families can experience together — visually and audibly.
The story follows a lonely mannequin adrift in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, surrounded by the very plastic that makes her. Through her journey, readers are invited to reflect on love, loss, and our shared responsibility to care for the planet.

About the Author
Tay Kewei is a Singaporean singer-songwriter who has performed on stages from the National Day Parade to regional concerts, and has released albums in English, Mandarin, and Japanese. With Plastic Mannequin Love, her debut children’s book adapted from her original song, she brings music, storytelling, and a message of care for the planet to families everywhere.
